What different sizes can a water tank come in?

 In Uncategorized

Plastic water tanks are designed to be incredibly versatile, providing a number of different storage solutions that can fit into a variety of situations.

With such diversity though, it can be difficult to know which water tank best fits your individual needs, especially when it comes to something like the shape of a water tank. To help make this decision, here are a few of the different sizes that water tanks can come in.

Round

By far the most common and well-recognised water tank, these systems are a common sight across Australian homes. Round water tanks are easy to construct and come in a range of different sizes, depending on your needs.

Because they are so common, a round water tank may be the easiest to source and install on your site, as well as having the widest range of sizes to suit your property.

Slim-line tanks

While round tanks are very common across Australia, they are not suited for every property, especially ones that are on narrow plots or don't have a lot of outdoor space.

In this situation, a slimline tank is the best option. This set-up allows water to be gathered in a thin, oblong-shaped plastic tank rather than a large, round one. Although these tanks have a smaller internal space, they are ideally suited to a property with very little room and low water use.

Underground and under-deck

Finally, sometimes water tanks don't have to be seen at all when they are installed on your property. There is a range of designs available that can be stored out of sight – including underground water tanks as well as thin, flat tanks that can be stored under a deck.

These tanks can again come in different sizes, depending on where you want to store them. Underground tanks will also need to have additional strengthening within them in order to cope with the pressure of being  below ground, further impacting the potential shapes of these tanks.
